March Reflection

This week we have been reflecting on what we did in March. I enjoyed writing it down because I like writing a lot. I found it tricky to type because my fingers go wobbly. I'm not the best at little things. I also found it hard to write this because I didn't know what to say so I looked at Kylah's blog and then asked Mrs Naden to help me.
Do you have wobbly hands to? Do you reflect on your work?

Te Kuri a Paoa

We have been learning about Kiwa and Paoa. When they cam =e to Gisborne, they called Young Nick's Head Te Kuri a Paoa because it looked like Paoa's dog. When Captain Cook came, he called it Young Nick's Head because they saw land over Nic's head.
We did pastel drawings of Te Kue]ri a Paop. First we used white chalk to do the outline and then we used pastels. We put one colour over another and they blended fairly nicely. We used black pastel to outline it and make it show better. This is the result that I got.

My favourite sport

Today we were learning to compose. and  voice type with mote.  It is hard to figure out how to do mote because the instructions were hard. The easiest thing was putting the mote logo onto my slide.

Crime Scene

We were learning to make connections between texts for Reading. We had to solve a crime scene after we had done some experiments. The experiments were looking at handwriting, fingerprints, fibres and powders. Then we read about the suspects and worked our who stole the laptop.

I enjoyed figuring out what the powder was. I t was either washing powder or citric acid. It wasn't citric acid because when I touch it my fingers do all tingly and they didn't tingle when I touched it.

I found it tricky to solce the fingerprints because we had to match them up.

Lenten Promise

During Lent I promise to pray at home, give up McDonald's and help Dad build the gate. We give up things because Jesus gave up his life for us so we are giving up something for him. He came back to life and went to heaven.

Have you ever tried to give up anything?
